Clinical Herbalist
Rita attended the Hawthorn School of Herbal Medicine with Sean Croke in Olympia, Washington, worked directly with plants and in nature, mentored with many herbalists throughout the years like Matthew Wood and Carol Trassato. Rita has mapped human herbalism onto Canine Physiology. She got her start by working directly with dogs, she is mostly self-taught through the process of working with plants, veterinarians, and reading key texts. According to Rita, the plants have been her greatest teachers. Rita has been a clinician for over fifteen years and an herbalist for over 20 years. She works with dogs all over the world and has a full-time practice in Olympia, Washington.
